Decided that the website should reflect the current season a bit better. So much more I want to do with the site – articles to write and so on – but for now, winterizing it will have to do.
I took a rare day off today. Well, mostly off. I did do a bunch of paperwork, sorting receipts, sending invoices, updating stuff – things that constantly get away from me.
But I didn’t go play on the scissor-lift to try to find the queen carpenter ant in a roof three stories high.
And I didn’t go climb a ladder to hang some more conveniently Christmas coloured bird ribbon to keep the woodpeckers at bay.
And I definitely didn’t go and strip and redo caulk from a window so that the flies quit using it as their breeding nursery.
Nor did I follow up on some rat jobs I most definitely need to follow up on, or call the cranky guy to arrange his appointment for work I need to do, or go play with the new squirrels, or….
Yikes. When I start thinking about everything I could have should have done today it does start to pile up a bit. Just a bit!
Oh well. Tomorrow Jessa will be here and we’ll get through as much as we possibly can. Or more realistically, as much as she possibly can. Until I get past this oh so annoying new bout of bronchitis, I’m afraid I’m not going to be all that much help. She can get most – if not all – of it done over the weekend; just have to pull her away from her Pokémon. The joys of a family business – she thinks its perfectly reasonable that I should drive so that she can play Pokémon between jobs all weekend. Spoiled, isn’t she?
