I haven’t, honest! I have a big long list of people that want their spider sprays or other assorted things that don’t work so well when it’s raining! Pretty sure we had this issue last season too – nice clear days few and far between! Most everyone has had their first mosquito sprays – but need another now, because yeah – so much rain is not good for garlic!
But for those who called in preparation for the long weekend, or right after, we’ve been having some challenges getting to everyone. Supposed to be a few warm (dry?!) days this week though, so the fact that Ross’s SUV is now fixed might be helpful…. I’m hoping to send Hunter and Alyssa one direction while I go another – at least some of the time.
Tomorrow, they’re to do some landscaping in Tiny – figure I’ll leave them there and go check on the property formerly known as the skunk house. And then there are several skitter spray locations around that area. Not exactly my favourite jobs to do but whatever – rather drag a sprayer full of garlic around than do landscaping. Not because it’s any more/less strenuous, but mostly because I know what I’m doing when it comes to spraying. Landscaping and/or gardening, not so much!
Don’t you just love it when you’re eating something with a slice of bread and you get almost to the end of it and find a disgusting blue mouldy section?! Argh!! That is horrible!!
Anyway, much as I’d like to stay up and tell you all about my many ant infestations and other assorted stuff you probably don’t want to hear about, it’s past my bedtime and I am still (supposed to) do a 20 minute session of stretching my neck uncomfortably because Dr. Darryl says it’ll help. Not sure I believe him – but I DO find I need a lot less pain meds since I’ve been going there. So I guess I will do the uncomfortable stretch.
I’m hoping someday that I’ll be able to get in and out of my kayak again. Clearly I can’t manage the ones at Wye Marsh – don’t ask! But I’m still hopeful! It’s been way too long since I’ve kayaked regularly – having two more people on the team is supposed to make it easier! Not quite there yet – but not because of the workers – because I’m old and out of practice and a scaredy cat.
I can climb ladders and wander on rooftops. Even do crawlspaces when i have to. Surely I can re-master the whole kayaking thing again.
Once we get all the spider sprays and ant jobs and rodent jobs and what is WITH the raccoons this year?! And squirrels! The squirrels have been relentless this year.
Oh well – being busy is better than not having enough to do, right? Ross doesn’t necessarily agree, but pretty sure he would if I were to suddenly be home all the time!
Hope your summer is off to a great start – and don’t forget to give us a call if there’s anything we can help you with.
ESPECIALLY if you’re building or renovating something!! So much easier and cheaper and better to do the prevention than to deal with ants and termites and boring beetles and whatever else comes along over the next 20 to 30 years!! For about the same price as a single carpenter ant job, we can protect your investment for decades.

Why would you not?!
